Candace Finley age 75 formerly of Ashland, passed away on June 7, 2024 at Avenue at Medina Nursing Facility in Medina, Ohio.
Born on September 25, 1948 in Ashland the daughter of Amos and Olive (Ritz) Mumaw, she had been a resident of Ashland County most of her life. She was a member of the Ashland High School Graduating Class of 1966. She had been previously employed at Abbott Labs and Hospira before her retirement.
Candace was a avid BINGO player and also loved horses.
Candace was married to Dennis Finley who precedes her in death.
Surviving are two children; Michelle (Scott) Henson of Medina and Carl (Heidi Schontzler) Finley of Ashland. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Erica (Aaron) Doerrer of Ashland, Samantha (Ryan) Wynn of Ashland and Alexa (Josh Stancato) Finley also of Ashland. One great grandchild, one brother and one sister also survive; Owen Wynn, Richard (Linda) Mumaw and Becky Blair.
In addition to her husband, Candace is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Peg Amend, Diana Greenawald and Becky Bikar. One brother also precedes her in death, David Mumaw.
Funeral services will be held on Friday June 14, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Dusty Dalton officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am till 11:00 am on Friday June 14, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
