Crestview pitcher Jarek Ringler delivers to the plate during a 2023 Division III district semifinal game against Edison at Shelby High School.

OLIVESBURG — Jarek Ringler put his stamp on the Crestview baseball program.

A senior pitcher and shortstop, Ringler was selected the Firelands Conference Player of the Year when the all-conference team was unveiled earlier this month.

Norwalk St. Paul’s Kole Maxwell was the FC Pitcher of the Year after helping the Flyers win a share of the conference crown. South Central’s Nick Kirk, whose Trojans tied atop the league standings, was the Coach of the Year.

Crestview tied for third in the FC standings thanks in no small part to Ringler. He batted .481 with 12 runs batted in, 36 runs scored and 25 stolen bases. On the mound, he was 7-1 with a 1.15 earned run average and 93 strikeouts in 54.2 innings of work.

Ringler was joined on the All-FC first team by Crestview teammates Brennan Fulk, Gavin Barker and Tyson Ringler, along with Plymouth’s Jarrett Burrerr and Canaan Alone and Mapleton’s Kollin Cline and Tyson Welch. Other first-teamers included South Central’s Eric Sanders and St. Paul’s Maxwell, Jacob Bocock and Ashton Stang.

Mapleton’s Zack Wrobleski and Jay Workman were second-team picks. They were joined by Monroeville’s Colt Clark, South Central’s Aaron Hauler, Gunner Ray and Alex Hamons, New London’s Gage Carroll, Western Reserve’s John Kerby and Cooper Zunis and St. Paul’s Drew Kuhnle, Landon Fries and Ben Burger.

Honorable-mention picks were Monroeville’s Landin Hershiser, Plymouth’s Lex Grose, South Central’s Cole Frankart, New London’s Brody Sword, Crestview’s Carson Keener, Western Reserve’s Tyler Wood, St. Paul’s Alex Weaver and Mapleton’s Keaton Ables.
